trying to find out twhat to do with your life? want to find your calling? Discovering ones' mina may be easy for some and a bit of a challenge for others. What we all try to answer is "what is the meaning or purpose of life?"
maybe your grandmom was a teacher. your mom a nurse or Dad a serviceman in the military and you'd like to keep a family tradition. there is no one size fits all, however, if you take into account 4 steps those type of questions become easier to answer when
Is there a difference between minas, spiritual gifts and fruits of the spirit?

the quick answer is yes. There is a difference. basically fruits of the spirit describe the supernatural abilities bestowed upon a believer as evidence that the spirit is working in someone primarily to the deification of the church (benefiting other believers) minas as described in the parables seem to refer to some sort of trade or profession that usually gains employment and garners what those services or goods are worth. Now with so many versions of the bible, we're not going to the exhaustive lengths to point out the differences in the characters but we're all pretty familiar of the parable of the king/nobleman and the 3 servants:

lets say Mary has a unbelievable spiritual gift of the holy spirit in hospitality and a big beautiful home and lives alone. Lets also say Mary had prior experience in the medical field as a nurse and decided to renovate and legally convert her home to an assisted living senior care facility were the elderly in her community can feel safe and loved in an openly acknowledging spiritual center operated by a God-fearing womans care and supervision. that would be an example of, in our humble opinion, the perfect combination of spiritual gifts and minas that graces blesses on many levels.
input the fruits of the spirit
Now back to the original question. is there a difference between minas and spiritual gifts? yes. but we believe that a better question is: if whatever you use, whether gifts of the spirit or skills you honed and developed are utilized to the glory of God and is a blessing to others that Jesus would be proud of should we really waste energy picking terms apart. God is able to do all things amen. Lets be careful not to limit each other that may be a reflection of what limits we put on God. with god all things are possible. Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27
